Cachot Therkelsen collection, 1905-1958.

Collection comprises architectural drawings and photographs of residential and commercial architecture in the Pacific Northwest, as well as volumes of records concerning buildings and properties, collected by Cachot Therkelsen in order to assess property values for investment purposes. Collection also includes an index to the architects represented in the collection, including John Bennes, A.E. Doyle, Edgar Lazarus, Emil Schacht, and Martin Schacht.

Architect and engineer Martin Schacht was the son of Portland, Oregon architect Emil Schacht. The younger Schacht served as manager of the Foundation Company of America, supervising construction of the Port of Astoria, Oregon, and later working for the company in San Francisco, where his projects included bridge construction.
